Checking in

The hotel desk starts checking guests in at 4 PM, and only those aged 19 or older may do so. If you drive, the car is part of the process. Parking is complimentary and included in the room rate. Guests who park on site give the make, model and licence plate of the vehicle at check-in. Having those details ready saves a walk back to the car.

The hotel has 126 rooms and deluxe suites, and it is connected to Casino New Brunswick. Once the bags are in the room, the evening can begin without moving the car. Arriving before 4 PM? Call the hotel at 506-859-7770, extension 2, to ask about earlier arrangements.

    The first evening

By the time you check in, the table games at Casino New Brunswick have been running since 2 PM. Later, the poker room in the Lighthouse part of the casino opens at 6 PM, Thursday to Saturday. Every day, 6 PM is when the High Limit Room opens. On Friday and Saturday, craps starts at 7 PM.

The gift shop stays open until 11 PM. For dinner, the Buffet runs Wednesday to Saturday, with its own menu for each day, and the casino can confirm its hours. Like the Hub City Pub, it sits on the casino floor, so everyone who enters must be 19 or older.

If you arrive on a Monday or Tuesday, there is no Buffet and the poker room is closed. On Friday and Saturday the tables run until 3 AM; Sunday through Thursday, they close at 2 AM.

    Around the room

The hotel has a pool and a gym, and Wi-Fi is free for guests. Up to two pets can stay in a room, cats and dogs, each up to 50 lb. A nightly fee applies, and the hotel can confirm the amount when you book. On the gaming floor, service animals are permitted and pets are not.

Groups planning a meeting during the stay can book one of the meeting rooms. The Monte Carlo Room holds up to 100 guests, and the Nevada Room holds up to 40. Requests go by email to cnb.sales@greatcanadian.com.

    Checking out

Check-out is by 11 AM. The slots open again at 10 AM, so there is an hour between the floor reopening and check-out. At the same hour, the gift shop opens. For holiday hours, look to greatcanadian.com, the website of Casino New Brunswick itself.

To book another night, call the hotel at 1-877-859-7775 or 506-859-7770 and ask for extension 2, which handles hotel reservations. Without the extension, the same numbers reach the casino itself.

    Questions at the desk

Can I check in at 2 PM?

Check-in begins at 4 PM. For anything earlier, ask the hotel directly at 506-859-7770, extension 2.

Can my teenager check in for us?

Since checking in requires a guest aged 19 or older, a younger relative cannot handle it on the group's behalf. Someone aged 19 or older needs to be at the desk.

Is parking extra for hotel guests?

Parking is complimentary and included in the room rate. Guests who park on site give the make, model and licence plate of the vehicle at check-in.

    Can I bring my dog?

The hotel accepts up to two pets per room, cats and dogs, each up to 50 lb, for a nightly fee. Only a dog working as a service animal may go onto the gaming floor.
